This is a newly created role with a Korean contract manufacturing company providing competitive
Production and Supply Chain solutions for its customers in the semiconductor
industry.
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensures
supplier’s manufacturing processes are in place to produce reliable complex
semiconductor capital equipment and systems, and their mechanical components,
in a repeatable manner. Develops and audits quality control systems.
Manages
contract manufacturers in developing processes and related documentations (such
as Operational Method Sheets, Bills of Material, Drawings, Test Procedures,
etc.) to ensure complex electro-mechanical assemblies are built to meet cost,
quality, and delivery requirements. Assist in the development and deployment of
test fixtures. Assess manufacturing lines and determines model requirements
based off of Return on Investment analysis. Manages assigned OEM component
suppliers to insure process adherence and conformance to Lam specifications and
requirements.
Coordinates
failure analysis activities with suppliers for defects found in manufacturing
and at customer sites. Identifies and solves production related problems for
assigned products from engineering into remote factory manufacturing.
Responsible
for coordinating development activities with suppliers and product groups in
developing new products to meet product group’s needs. Plans and manages
prototyping and build verification of new systems and subsystems.
Conducts
supplier visits, both domestic and international, in evaluating and managing
new and existing suppliers.
Define
problems and objectives, develop approach, analyze results and provide
recommendations. Direct and manage the implementation of required changes or
modifications. Plan, conduct, and direct technically complex projects. Write
and analyze Action Requests/Equipment Change Notices.

years’ experience as a Supplier Engineer gained within the semiconductor
equipment industry (or related industry)
- (10)
Minimum Education: BSc/MSc in Industrial Engineering or equivalent in
related discipline. Eg IE, ME, ChE, Chemistry, Mat Sci.

Several years’ experience with manufacturing and assembly methods.
- (10)Strong
leadership, project management, practical knowledge of specific supplier
manufacturing processes,
- (10)Experience with bay build and lean line
technologies. Able to lay out a lean line for optimum efficiency.
Will be able to perform ROI calculations for manufacturing methods, able
to justify capital cost.
- (10)Experience
and skills in reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- (10)Present
to executives and recommend manufacturing layouts based on ROI and
capacity.
- (10)Provide
continuous improvement to manufacturing lines and process improvements.

Able to travel as much as 40% of the time – both domestic and
international

in English and Korean
