About the Role:
We are currently building our McAfee Mobile research team across Asia Pacific and require a qualified and experienced Software Engineer/Malware Researcher to join our Seoul office in South Korea.
Key Responsibilities:
As a key member in the global McAfee Mobile Lab team, you will be expected to look after all components of mobile threat research, including:
* Searching, collecting and analyzing mobile threats and vulnerabilities.
* Creating and publishing analysis reports.
* Creating detection codes based on analysis.
* Working with the development team to solve detection issues.
* Improving and/or creating processes and methodologies.
* Creating analysis automation tools with tools engineer.
* Exchanging information with internal and external researchers.
* Researching for next generation mobile threat protection technologies.
Required Experience/Skills & Education:
* The preferred candidate will have a breadth of experience in Software Development and Engineering, in particular:
* Experience in software development in C/C and/or Assembly
* Experience working with Perl and regular expression
* Significant experience working with Linux/UNIX development and/or QA experienceA good understanding of software engineering practices
* Strong oral and written English communication skills
Candidates with skills and knowledge of computer vulnerabilities and exploits or experience with embeded and real time OS structure and programming techniques would be looked highly upon. We're also looking for team players, who are able to work independently and effectively.
